Services
Our village has a range of services available to residents. These services can be used by residents' visitors, guests or boarders; however, the host resident is responsible for them and a resident must accompany them at all times (excluding boarders).
Village Bus
FOR POLICY
The village has a 12-seater bus for the use of residents. A volunteer driver shuttles residents to and from Ocean Keys shopping mall on the last business day of the week. The bus leaves the clubhouse at 9am and picks up from Ocean Keys at 11:30am to return to the village. Access is on a first come basis. Up to 10 passengers are accommodated, plus the driver. Competent drivers under 80 are asked to volunteer. The bus is used for a variety of transport requirements, including theatre visits, winery visits, and many other uses.
Two other 12-seater buses owned by a generous resident are also available for use by request.

Emergency Support
Staff called Emergency Response Assistants (ERAs) are on site 24 hours a day and are on active duty from 7am–8pm. After hours they are 'on-call' and receive a call-out fee for service. So please, no frivolous callouts over night: you may be asked to pay for this service.
ERAs are first aid qualified and respond to requests for emergency help anywhere in the village. Summon their help either by activating your alarm or by telephoning reception. Note that if they are already responding to an incident, they cannot be in two places. The alarm system is serviced by a call centre, which will summon both staff and appropriate help, but may not stay on the line until it arrives. This alarm service replicates the "000" emergency service but may not maintain voice contact until help arrives.
Note the following Deed provisions that apply to this service.
10.4 Emergency Alarm System and Emergency First Aid: You hereby acknowledge that neither us nor any of Our Employees or agents are liable to you for any damages which you may suffer due to our failure to answer any emergency call system installed in the Villa or any delay in doing so. You also hereby acknowledge that any emergency first aid treatment is first aid treatment and not medical treatment and may be provided by persons who are not qualified health professionals.
10.5 Hospitalisation: You hereby acknowledge and agree that, if we reasonably consider that you need the services of a doctor or treatment that requires hospitalisation, we may call a doctor or an ambulance on your behalf as the circumstances require and that you are responsible for the costs of the doctor, ambulance or hospital.
10.6 No Liability for First Aid: You hereby acknowledge and agree that despite any actual or implied provision of this Deed or any rule of law or equity to the contrary, neither we nor any of Our Employees and agents are liable for any personal injury, suffering or death arising wholly or partially due to us or any of Our Employees or agents either providing, attempting to provide or failing to provide or assist in providing appropriate emergency first aid treatment to you or your spouse.

Fish Delivery
A fish delivery service is available for frozen fish to order and on-spec if stocks allow. Deliveries are on alternate Tuesdays between 3–4pm. Service is from a van, which will park by the clubhouse.
Newspapers
The West Australian, The Australian and The Sunday Times newspapers are provided daily for reading in the café. Please do not remove them from the clubhouse and tidy them after use. Reception can copy segments on request.
Pharmacy
Mindarie Pharmacy at Mindarie Keys shopping services the village. They both pick up and deliver prescriptions. To use their service either use the MedAdvisor app on your phone or leave your prescriptions for filling in the box in the kiosk in the morning and it will be filled and left in that box for you to pick up later in the day. On request they will print you a year-to-date list of medicines you've bought from them. Note that the pharmacy extends a 15% discount to Harbourside residents on all general items purchased if requested, but not prescriptions.
Each villa has its own mailbox and normal suburban deliveries are made by Australia Post. Outwards mail can be placed in the box affixed to the reception counter, which is cleared on business days. Seven days a week the pillar box at Mindarie Keys shopping area is cleared if your mail is more urgent. To ensure mail is delivered to you promptly, use the following format for your mail: 32 The Rise, Mindarie, WA 6030.
Podiatrist
A Podiatry service is available in the consulting room on the first and third Friday of the month between 9am and midday. On the counter at reception there is a book in which you should enter your booking. This is a private service that depends on your support to continue.
Rubbish and Recycling
PICK UP DAYS
The City of Wanneroo provides both rubbish and recycling bins to rate payers, which includes each villa. As our village is one property, we are entitled to the pickup service from the kerbside on either Honiara Way or Rothesay Heights; however, we have negotiated pickup from designated positions within the village. Continuation of this arrangement depends on your cooperation. The truck aims to make one pass through each street with pick up from its left side. Bins in a row must have 40–50cm between them to allow the mechanical arm to fit between them and pick them up without knocking them over. Rubbish pickup is every Wednesday and recycling pick up is every second Wednesday. Bins must be kerbside by 7am.
Because of space limitations, some villas have elected not to have a rubbish or recycling bin and to share with others. This is a particularly appropriate practice for apartments. These residents need to agree among themselves who will put the bins out and bring them in and clean them.
Household batteries should be placed in bins in the kiosk and not your rubbish bins. Please only use your yellow top bins to recycle items meeting the criteria on their lids: definitely do not package recycling in plastic bags and do not recycle filmy plastics—do that at Woolworths. Collapse boxes and cartons prior to disposal.
Note that in Schedule 4 of the Deed, village rule 1.

- 1.2 states that "you must not throw or deposit or allow to be thrown, deposited or to fall, any article or substance from, out of or onto the Villa or the Common Areas"; and that
- 1.3 states that "No rubbish or waste may be burned in or about the Villa or the Common Areas except in an incinerator that we have approved for the purpose." We do not have an approved incinerator.
Salon
Hairdressing services are available. The salon is located on the upper floor of the clubhouse. On the counter at reception there is a folder listing services and fees in which you should enter your booking. This is a private service that depends on your support to continue.
Transport
Volunteer drivers can assist other residents to get to appointments, the airport or shopping. Reception will put you in touch with the organiser.
Window Cleaning
Window cleaning is your responsibility, and it is your choice whether to do them yourself or engage a cleaner. The village's window cleaner will do villas on request with the price dependent on what you want done. You can request inside and/or outside glass cleaning. On the counter at reception there is a folder in which you should enter your booking. This is a private service that depends on your support to continue.
