Australian Red Cross – Volunteers Wanted
Do you enjoy helping to care for babies? Do you have a little spare time on your hands? Lendlease have been liaising with The Red Cross, please see below if anyone is interested in volunteering. Red Cross needs volunteers interested in Red Cross Family Support and helping families with multiple births or where mothers are experiencing post natal depression, social isolation or simply require a helpful hand. Volunteers are asked to apply online, sign up for an orientation workshop where you will be provided with all support and clearances. Volunteers are then allocated a family to help care for, for 4 hours a week over a 12 week period. Persons wishing to volunteer can apply online via the following link:

Asset Management Plan: A team including Alan Stirling, Ray Slimper and Des Cousins will be formed to work on a detailed long term capital asset management plan over the next 6 - 12 months for presentation to the Advisory Board and RGM. This Plan is an essential component in planning for long term funding for maintenance and upgrading of the Village infrastructure. Other members who have expertise in this area and who have been identified in the recent resident survey will be approached to assist at times in their areas of expertise.
FIRE AND EMERGENCY PROCEDURES.
Over the last 2 months we have been conducting emergency evacuation trials. These have all been completed covering all areas of the village and the Clubhouse.
These trials are ongoing and are designed to ensure that residents are aware of what they have to do should a real emergency occur. It also serves the purpose for residents to see who their Area Warden is and for the Area Warden to do likewise.
There was a reasonable chance that you may not have been home when your area was evacuated. This is taken into account when accounting for all residents in that area.
Thanks to all those who willingly co-operated. Our Emergency Procedures are constantly under review with the aim of making them effective and efficient.
